When it comes to the attractions of Croatia, the most popular attraction is the water. I know, it’s a mind-blowing revelation, but the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic Sea are truly some of the most beautiful in the world. But planning a week vacation needs to have more on the itinerary than just “beach-time.” So what else does the Dalmatia region have to offer? Well, a lot!

Church of St. George

I have talked about the Church of St. George in my piece on group activities in Primosten. Not only can you make a day of the experience, but if you are so inclined, you can also absorb the history of the monument as well as enjoying its amazing views. The original foundation of the church can be traced back to 1485! Later renovated in 1760, the Church of St. George has been sitting atop Primosten, watching over the village for over 6 centuries. Just being inside of something that old will give you the chills and it is truly something to behold.

The Legends Pub

It’s not particularly easy to find nightlife in Primosten, not because the village is boring or “dead,” but by the time night rolls around, most people have been drinking on the beach for hours. But alas, Primosten refuses to disappoint even the smallest minority group, so if you can muster up the strength and pull a college-style rally, The Legends Pub is just for you. Serving the only Scotch Whiskey on the peninsula, this western-European inspired pub attracts people of all demographics, from partying young-adults, to successful business people looking for a fun nightcap. Along with their wide selection of liquors, a live band plays on the outdoor patio. So if you find yourself sitting around the villa while the kids are lulled to sleep, slip on your party shoes and hit up The Legends Pub!

Medieval Town of Primosten

There are no particular museums or sightings that draw traditional tourists to Primosten, but instead of traditional museum tours, simply walking around the medieval city will give you the same sense of history! The small, walled streets take all tourists back to the days of lords and ladies, only this time we have the luxury of running water. From the top of the mountain where the Church of St. George is situated to the harbor where the water meets the sand, Primosten is the one of the most picturesque medieval cities in all of Croatia.
