As summer enters its final month, we can’t bear to bid goodbye to this carefree season. From Paris to Nantucket, here are a few of our cant-miss events to finish your summer off with a bang!

* Paris, France: Can’t decide between a chic city escape and a beach vacation? Venture to Paris for a bit of both. The ongoing Paris Plages brings powdery white sands to the bank of the Seine while locals set up beach chairs and enjoy cold drinks as boats float by. The beach scenes can be found along the iconic river and bring some whimsy and lighthearted fun to Paris in the summer. The seaside vignettes are located near the Pompidou Centre in the 4th and the Bassin de Villette in the 19th arrondissement. Don’t forget the sunscreen!

* Santorini, Greece: A magical festival that celebrates jazz and traditional Greek music, the Megaro Gyzi Festival is once again happening in Santorini. A month filled with special art and musical events is organized by the Megaro Gyzi museum which is housed in a spectacular 17th century mansion. With the intention of both maintaining and promoting the unique culture of Santorini, the festival has become an annual event. Lovers of jazz and those craving a glimpse of true Greece will want to join in on the fun. The festival runs the entire month of August with ongoing concerts and exhibitions.

* Nantucket, MA: What says summer more than a sailboat zipping through the crisp Atlantic waters? Nantucket does the season right with its annual Race Week that runs August 9-17. With family BBQs, women-only events, and the famous Shipwreck Ball (costumes are a must!) this lively week of regattas and fun is a beloved tradition among locals. Watch races from the shore, attend awards dinners, and take a peek at some of the most beautiful yachts in the world. Whichever you fancy, Nantucket is the place to be!
